AOP Systems

More about AOP Systems

Advanced Oxidation Process systems are the strongest supplemental sanitation you can add to a pool or spa. They generate hydroxyl radicals on site and inject them into the return line, where they oxidise contaminants far faster than chlorine can, then revert harmlessly to water and oxygen within moments.

What AOP actually fixes

Most complaints about chlorine are not really about chlorine. The smell, the red eyes and the irritated skin come from chloramines, the byproducts formed when chlorine combines with sweat, sunscreen, body oils and urine. A pool that smells strongly of chlorine is usually a pool with too many chloramines and not enough free chlorine. AOP destroys those compounds continuously, which is why the water ends up both cleaner and noticeably more comfortable.

  • Lower chlorine demand, because AOP carries a large share of the oxidation load.
  • Dramatically fewer chloramines, so no chemical smell and far less irritation.
  • Better clarity, since fine organics are broken down as they circulate.
  • A better experience for kids, daily swimmers and anyone with sensitive skin.

Sizing by flow rate

These systems are matched to circulation flow, not to pool volume alone, so start with your GPM.

  • 90 GPM systems for full size residential and light commercial pools.
  • 35 GPM systems for smaller pools and pool and spa combinations.
  • 30 GPM systems for spas, swim spas, hot tubs and plunge pools.

Install kit bundles include the manifold plumbing needed to tie into the return line. AOP supplements your existing sanitiser rather than replacing it, so you still carry a chlorine or salt residual, just far less of it. The one recurring item is an annual cartridge exchange.
