Outdoor Chaise Lounges

The deck chaise is the workhorse of any pool area. It is where people dry off, read, nap and spend the majority of their time, so it is worth buying frames that will still look right in five years. Everything here is molded from marine grade, UV stabilized resin that shrugs off splash out, sunscreen, chlorine and salt.

How many do you need

A reliable rule is one lounger per regular household member plus two for guests. Line them along the long side of the pool where the sun tracks, and leave at least 36 inches between the coping and the foot of the chaise so there is a safe walkway for wet feet. If space is tight, angling loungers slightly toward the water fits more in without crowding the path.

Frames versus cushions

Cushions are ordered separately on purpose. Outdoor fabric is the part that eventually shows its age, and buying it as a separate item means you can refresh the look in a few years without replacing perfectly good frames. Add a headrest pillow for neck support and a clip in seat shade if your deck takes hard afternoon sun.
