Most products sold by Farmer Direct Supply are covered, if at all, by the applicable manufacturer’s limited warranty. Warranty duration, coverage, exclusions, registration requirements, commercial-use rules, and remedies vary by manufacturer and product.
Manufacturer warranty controls
The manufacturer’s written warranty supplied with the product or linked on the product page controls the warranty claim. Farmer Direct Supply does not expand, replace, or create a manufacturer warranty unless we expressly provide a separate written warranty.
Do not assume every product includes the same warranty or that labor, travel, installation, removal, freight, consumables, normal wear, weather damage, crop loss, downtime, or consequential loss is covered.
Authorized-dealer status
A product page may state that Farmer Direct Supply is an authorized dealer only when we have written authorization or a valid authorized distribution relationship for that brand. Warranty eligibility may depend on purchasing through an authorized channel, registering the product, and following manufacturer instructions.
How to request warranty support
Email hello@farmerdirectsupply.com with your order number, product name, model, serial number, date the issue began, description of the problem, troubleshooting already completed, and clear photos or video. We may request an installation invoice, maintenance records, delivery documents, or other information required by the manufacturer.
We will help route the claim, provide proof of purchase, and communicate with the manufacturer where appropriate. The manufacturer normally makes the final coverage and remedy decision.
Typical warranty exclusions
- Improper assembly, installation, anchoring, wiring, plumbing, fueling, maintenance, storage, transport, or operation.
- Use outside published specifications, including incompatible tractors, loaders, hydraulics, hitches, electrical supply, foundations, snow loads, wind loads, or site conditions.
- Accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, corrosion, pests, fire, flooding, lightning, freezing, hail, wind, snow, or other environmental events unless expressly covered.
- Unauthorized modification, repair, attachments, parts, software, or removal of serial numbers.
- Normal wear items, consumables, cosmetic damage, routine maintenance, and shipping damage that was not timely documented.
Shipping damage is not a warranty claim
Freight damage, shortages, and missing packages must be reported under the Shipping & Delivery Policy as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours of delivery. Keep all packaging and delivery documents.
Installation and local compliance
Unless Farmer Direct Supply separately agrees in writing to provide installation, the customer is responsible for qualified installation, permits, inspections, engineering, foundations, utilities, site preparation, and compliance with manufacturer instructions and local law. Improper installation may void the warranty.
Warranty questions
Who provides the warranty, you or the manufacturer?
The manufacturer. Products sold by Farmer Direct Supply are covered, if at all, by the applicable manufacturer's limited warranty. The brand sets the length, the coverage and the exclusions. We tell you which warranty applies and help you file.
What should I do if the equipment arrives damaged?
Freight damage is not a warranty claim. It's a carrier claim, and it depends on what you write down at delivery. Count the packages, photograph the shipment before you unwrap anything, and record any visible damage on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before you sign. Then email hello@farmerdirectsupply.com within 24 hours. Keep all packaging, crates, pallets and straps until we've given you instructions.
Does the warranty cover wear parts?
Usually not. Most manufacturer warranties exclude wear items such as blades, shear bolts, teeth, belts and tines, along with damage from misuse, modification, or operating the machine outside its rated capacity. Check the specific warranty for the product you're buying, and call us if you're not sure what's covered.
Do I need to register the product?
Some manufacturers require registration for the warranty to take effect, and some start the clock at delivery whether you register or not. Requirements vary by brand. Call or text (817) 587-4397 with your model and we'll tell you what that specific manufacturer requires.
