Which size do I need for my pool?

Sizing depends on pool surface area, how much of the season you want to heat and whether the pool is covered. AquaComfort publishes a sizing calculator, and our team can size it with you over the phone before you order.

What electrical supply does this need?

Every model in the range runs on 230V / 60Hz single phase. The minimum breaker is 20A on the ACT-750 and rises to 50A on the ACT-1500 and ACT-1750. Have a licensed electrician confirm your panel has the capacity before you order.

How cold can it run?

AquaComfort's own guidance is that the low-pressure switch shuts the heater down and shows an LPS code once ambient air falls to roughly 40°F. Below that a heat pump has little heat left to move.

Does it need a special heat exchanger for salt water?

The exchanger is titanium on every model in this range, which is the material specified for tolerance of pool water chemistry including salt-chlorinated water.

Is this a freight item?

Yes. These ship on a pallet by LTL freight, between 170 and 290 lb depending on model. You will need someone available to receive the delivery and a clear path to the equipment pad.
