Outdoor Trash Receptacles

A proper trash receptacle is the detail that separates a finished pool area from one that has a plastic can from the garage sitting in the corner. These are molded from the same UV stabilized resin as the furniture lines and share the colour palette, so the bin reads as part of the design rather than as an afterthought.

Round or square

Round receptacles suit open deck placement and freeform pool shapes, and there are no corners to catch on a walkway. Square receptacles tuck flat against a wall, a bar or a cabinet run and waste less space in a corner, which makes them the better pick in tighter areas or beside a serving station.

Why resin matters here

Trash bins take the worst of it. They sit in the sun all day, get rained into, hold wet contents and are constantly wiped down. Powder coated metal rusts from the inside once the coating chips, and thin plastic goes brittle and cracks within a couple of seasons. Molded resin does neither. It hoses out, it does not stain, and the colour runs through the material.

Placing them

Put one near the seating group and one near any food or bar area. On commercial properties, hotels and HOA pools, receptacles near the entry gate and the towel station catch the most volume and keep the deck itself clear.
