Which capacity should I buy?

Match the rating to your actual pool volume rather than buying up. The CLG225A covers pools to 25,000 gallons at 1.15 lb of chlorine per 24 hours; the CLG240A covers 40,000 gallons at 1.65 lb. An undersized cell runs at full output constantly and wears out early.

Does it need rewiring for 230V?

No. The supply is a 90 to 260 VAC open range, so the same unit runs on 115V or 230V as wired.

What salt level should I hold?

The operating range is 500 to 6,000 ppm, and Solaxx's manual gives 3,500 ppm as optimal with 5,500 ppm as the maximum before corrosion risk climbs. Holding the middle of the range protects your heater, ladders and rails as well as the cell.

Where does the flow sensor go?

In its own tee, between the last piece of equipment and the cell. It is what stops the unit generating chlorine gas into a dead pipe, so it is not optional.

Should I add a zinc anode?

On a salt pool it is worth considering. A sacrificial anode corrodes in place of your heater exchanger, ladders and rails. Solaxx sells an inline zinc anode with a tee that plumbs into the same return line.
